Glen Burnie Man charged with Stabbing at Shopping Center

On February 22, 2014 at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers from Northern District responded to the Johns Hopkins Bay View Hospital in reference to a stabbing that occurred earlier on the parking lot of the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center located in the 6700 block of Ritchie Hwy., Glen Burnie, MD.

 

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, a 31 year old male from Dundalk, who advised that at approximately 8:30 p.m., he went to the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in Glen Burnie to meet with his former girlfriend.  Upon meeting with her, he was confronted by a suspect whom he knew.  A verbal argument ensued between the suspect and victim that escalated into a physical altercation where the suspect produced a knife.  During the confrontation, the victim received a stab wound to his left hip.

 

Through the course of the investigation, officers were able to interview witnesses and obtain a positive identification of the suspect.  The suspect was subsequently located and arrested at his address in Glen Burnie. He was transported to Northern District for charges and processing.

 

The suspect was charged with First and Second Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.

 

Suspect: Gene William Farr, 36, of the 1100 block of Castle Harbour Way, Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
