Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman to Appear on

Fox Business News Tonight

Neuman, an outspoken Opponent of the Rain Tax invited to Discuss the Subject

Annapolis, MD (December 16, 2013) – Viewers of the FOX business show, The Willis Report, will be able to see  Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman discussing Maryland’s Rain Tax in the 6 pm hour of the show,  which airs on the Fox Business Network. The segment featuring Executive Neuman is expected to airway 6:20 p.m.

Executive Neuman was invited to discuss her position on the Rain Tax issue since she has been an opponent of the tax before taking office in February, and subsequently vetoing the bill. ”I love the Chesapeake Bay and it is a national treasure, but we can’t tax our way out of restoring it, much less put the burden of cleaning the Bay up on 10 jurisdictions in Maryland,” Neuman said. “You can’t have a new tax every time you want to fix something. We have had 40 tax increases over the last 7 years and this tax is the largest tax increase in Maryland.  The Chesapeake Bay is a shared resource, and it should be a shared responsibility.”

The Willis Report can be seen on the following cable channels:
