A powerful cold front will sweep through Anne Arundel County tomorrow. This will bring an end to our spring like temperatures and will also bring a chance of severe weather.
Models are predicating an area of low pressure will go to our north. This will allow south winds to come through our area which will allow temps to warm into the 60s to perhaps near 70 again tomorrow. A cold front will approach from the west and bring a chance of severe storms . Some of the afternoon models are showing a high wind shear - if we can get enough sunshine tomorrow this will only help to destabilize the atmosphereand the severe threat would increase. The NWS has already placed us under a risk of severe storms tomorrow.
The timing of the front looks to be from 2pm-7pm. The biggest threat seems to be strong gusty winds, however there is an outside chance of an isolated tornado. Behond the front strong gusty winds (40-50 mph) will bring cold air in. With the wind gust isolated power outages are possible.
Tonight….Mostly cloudy mid 40s
Wednesday….Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely. High near 70.
Thursday…..Sunny cold and windy high mid 30s
