NORTHERN DISTRICT

 

CDS ARRESTS                                                                                            BROOKLYN PARK

 

On February 17, 2014, at approximately 10:45 p.m., detectives from the Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit were conducting surveillance in the Brooklyn/ Brooklyn Park area in reference to citizen complaints of drug activity in the area. During their surveillance, detectives observed an occupied vehicle in the roadway in the 200 block of West Edgevale Road. As a result of a traffic stop, three individual baggies/ 13.13 grams of suspected marijuana (approximate street value $341), 20 suspected Oxycodone pills (approximate street value $200), eight baggies containing unknown controlled dangerous substances and the 2008 Chrysler 300 were seized.

 

Suspect #1: Erik Anthony Mullins, 32, of 232 West Edgevale Road, Baltimore, Md. The suspect was charged with Possession with intent to distribute CDS (Oxycodone), Possession of CDS (Oxycodone), Possession with intent to distribute CDS (marijuana), Possession of CDS (marijuana) and Resisting arrest

Suspect #2: Malik Maurice Moseley, 22, of 4147 Audrey Avenue, Baltimore, Md. The suspect was charged with Possession with intent to distribute CDS (Oxycodone), Possession of CDS (Oxycodone), Possession with intent to distribute CDS (marijuana) and Possession of CDS (marijuana)
On February 19, 2014, detectives from the Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) conducted a traffic stop on a white 1996 Chevrolet truck on Ritchie Highway at Edison Street in the Brooklyn area of Anne Arundel County. As a result of the traffic stop, detectives seized 119.88 grams of suspected marijuana in individual baggies (approximate street value $2,000), $2,540 in U.S. Currency and a 1996 Chevrolet truck.

 

Suspect: Arron Vernard Daily Jr., 31, of 1410 Illinois Avenue, Severn, Md. The suspect was charged with Possession with intent to distribute CDS (marijuana) and Possession of CDS (marijuana)

 

 

On February 20, 2014, detectives from Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) conducted a traffic stop on Belle Grove Road and 10th Avenue in the Brooklyn Park area of Anne Arundel County. As a result, detectives seized a small amount of suspected crack cocaine and a .357 Magnum handgun.

 

Suspect: Eugene Herbert Spruill, 27, of 114 Elizabeth Avenue, Baltimore, Md. The suspect was charged with Possession of CDS (crack cocaine) and numerous related firearm violations.

 

SOUTHERN DISTRICT

THEFT FROM AUTO ARREST                                                                        EDGEWATER

 

            On February 19, 2014, Southern District Detectives received information on a suspect who had broken into a car on Millhaven Court in Edgewater.  The crime had not yet been reported due to the victim being out of town. The suspect reportedly stole thousands of dollars in gift cards from the vehicle.

 

On February 20, 2014, detectives were able to link the suspect to using several of the gift cards at stores in the Annapolis area. Detectives arrested the suspect at his house on the afternoon of February 20th and recovered numerous electronics that were bought with the stolen gift cards.  In addition, detectives recovered several thousand dollars in gift cards that the suspect had not yet used. The suspect was charged with two counts of Theft over $1,000, Theft under $1,000, Rogue & Vagabond, Theft of Credit Cards and Theft Scheme over $1,000.  The Anne Arundel County Police Department would like to remind citizens to always remove valuables and lock the doors to their vehicles.

 

Suspect: Andrew Jay Shockey, 27, of the 1600 Block of Midland Road, Edgewater, Md

 

EASTERN DISTRICT

 

STOLEN AUTO ARRESTS                                                                               GLEN BURNIE

 

            On February 20, 2014, at approximately 6:50 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to the 500 block of Crestpark Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a stolen automobile.

 

Arriving officers spoke with the 43-year-old female victim, who indicated that she was warming her car up when she left the vehicle unattended and went back inside her home. She returned a short time later and discovered that the vehicle was missing. On February 21, 2014, at approximately 2:20 a.m., an officer pulled into the Exxon gas parking lot in the 8000 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie and observed the stolen silver Mazda MPV occupied by five suspects. As the officer drove closer to the van, two suspects exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The three remaining occupants were placed into custody. The suspects were arrested and charged with Theft of Auto, Theft of property valued greater than $1,000, but less than $10,000, Rogue and Vagabond and Malicious destruction of property less than $500.

 

Suspect #1: Chanel Brown, 21, of 8216 Dunfield Court, Severn, Md

Suspect #2: Ryan Jeffrey Morgan, 22, of 9A Jackson Avenue, Glen Burnie, Md

Suspect #3: Bryan Lee Brooks, 24, of 7983 Nolpark Court #204, Glen Burnie, Md

 

 

 

THEFT FROM AUTO ARREST                                                                             PASADENA

 

            On February 21, 2014, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to the area of Mansion House Crossing and 220th street for a possible theft from auto in progress. An anonymous caller called to report that a male and female were tampering with numerous vehicles parked on the street.

 

Arriving officers immediately located the female suspect who was identified by the victim as the female suspect. The suspect was in possession of several items, including a car stereo, and driver’s license belonging to an unknown person. Further investigation revealed the items located on her were stolen. The owners were notified and the property was returned. The male suspect has not been located at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Suspect: Kaitlyn Maria Stilson, 22, of 14420 Old Stage Road, Bowie, Md.

 

 

CITIZEN ROBBERY                                                                                          GLEN BURNIE

 

            On February 20, 2014, at approximately 4:28 p.m., officers from Eastern District responded to the report of a robbery of a citizen that occurred in the area of Phirne Road and Nolview Court in Glen Burnie.

 

Upon arrival, officers learned that the 14-year-old male victim was walking in the area of Phirne Road near Nolview Court when two male suspects wearing ski masks approached the victim from behind and pushed him to the ground. The suspects were able to grab the victim’s cell phone before running from the area. The victim was not injured during the incident. Numerous officers including a police canine canvassed the area, but the suspects could not be located. The investigation is ongoing.
